Air Duct Cleaning & Deodorizing and Dryer Vent Cleaning
Don't be fooled by the "$89 whole house special." To properly clean the air ducts of a home takes between 4-6 hours using specialized, powerful vacuums, air tools and mechanical brushes. This type of process is commonly referred to as the "push & pull" method of cleaning (Source removal). The vacuum provides the "pull", while the air tools and brushes provide the "push". The cleaning process involves cleaning all of the vents, supply and return ducts and the main trunk lines. In addition to that, you want to clean the blower motor and housing and deodorize the entire system, getting rid of those musty smells. The "$89 whole house specials" use deceptive advertising to get themselves in your house and then saddle you with a huge, unexpected bill. If you read the fine print, you will see that they are only cleaning a small number of the ducts, and only cleaning one of the two trunk lines. In addition, if you want to have the blower cleaned, or the system deodorized, then the price continues to climb. These types of companies typically use a rotary brush hooked up to a modified shop vac that cannot properly clean the ductwork as required by NADCA, using the "source removal" method.
